Who is Middleton United?
Middleton United Soccer Club is based in Middleton, WI. The Club provides a development program that incorporates training and coaching that builds our youth's passion for the game.
Our mission is to provide a positive, fun, organized, and affordable soccer program for young players living in or near the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District. MU offers Recreational teams for ages U5 - U14, and Competitive teams for ages U11 - U19. Middleton United promotes the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of all youth. When does registration start?
Our soccer season runs like a school year calendar, with the Fall season being the first part of the season and the spring being the second part of the season. Registration for our Recreational programs is open May 1 for the following year. Registration is allowed throughout the fall if there is room on a team.
When does the season start?
Teams are usually formed in mid - late summer (June & July) for the fall season and late spring (March) for the spring season. The fall season typically starts the weekend after Labor Day and goes through the first weekend of November. The spring season typically starts (weather pending) in early April and goes through the second weekend in June. There are 8-10 weeks in each season. One soccer year includes both the fall and spring seasons.
Do we have to buy a uniform every year?
We are on a 2-year cycle for uniforms. Every 2 years, players 11U and older will be required to purchase new jerseys. 10U and under age groups will have the option of purchasing new jerseys but it will not be required.
Who coaches our teams?
For our 5U-14U Recreational teams, parents will volunteer to help coach and/or manage the teams. For our 11U-19U Classic/Competitive teams, there will be paid coaches. ALL coaches have background checks conducted and ARE required to have a coaching license. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate when you register your child for the season or contact the office.
What is MU? MAYSA? WYSA?
MU is the abbreviated name for Middleton United. MAYSA (Madison Area Youth Soccer Association) is the governing body for local soccer clubs. There are nearly 40 clubs within MAYSA, including Middleton United. MAYSA is part of Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA), which is a part of the United States Youth Soccer (USYS).
Are club scholarships available?
Assistance is available to families with financial need. Please go through the registration process but DO NOT checkout/pay. Leave your order cart and then submit your paperwork/scholarship request and send to middletonunited@gmail.com. All applications will be kept confidential.
